At one of our youth services we were singing For the Sake of the World, I felt a strong presence of God, and just the phrase 'I am Unashamed' popped into my head. I knew it was from God.
When I was sleeping, I had a dream, of thousands of people standing in their clothes and a white t-shirt with I am Unashamed on. This transformed into a love heart, with 'We are Unashamed' on.
I also saw an Instagram feed with people holding up a bit of paper and sharing their testimonies about how they were unashamed to be following Jesus, in their current life situation.
The whole concept is to be unashamed of who you are and be empowered to stand up for what you believe. It's about coming together as one united family to support one another in unashamed faith.
iAm Unashamed aims to provide a support service, as well as advice and testimonies, for young Christians who are struggling to share their faith in schools, college and work. If young people have been bullied, and feel like they have nowhere to go, we hope to provide a safe space for them to develop confidence and self-worth, in both themselves and their faith. We have a forum, where people can discuss opportunities and share advice for one another. As the service develops we aim to have youth pastors or people who have a caring responsibility for young people involved as moderators to provide a more in-depth support.
New International Version - UK 1 Peter 3:14,17 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.’ For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
